the next article in the cambridge declaration is summed up well by the last statement “We deny that the gospel is preached if Christ’s substitutionary work is not declared and faith in Christ and his work is not solicited.”

indeed, let our churches be known first and foremost as those who profess, preach, and proclaim the only true gospel – that while we were yet sinners, enemies of god deserving his wrath, christ came and lived a perfectly righteous and obedient life, and endured the wrath of god so that whoever repents of their sins and believes on christ will have their sins atoned for, the righteousness of christ applied to them, and be made right with god.
here is the next article – solus christus, “christ alone”

Solus Christus: The Erosion of Christ-Centered Faith
As evangelical faith becomes secularized, its interests have been
blurredwith those of the culture. The result is a loss of absolute values,
permissive individualism, and a substitutionof wholeness for holiness,
recovery for repentance, intuition for truth, feeling for belief, chance
for providence, and immediate gratification for enduring hope. Christ
and his crosshave moved from the center of our vision.

Thesis Two: Solus Christus
We reaffirm that our salvation is accomplished by the mediatorial
work of the historical Christ alone. His sinless life and substitutionary
atonement alone are sufficient for our justification and reconciliation
to the Father.
We deny that the gospel is preached if Christ’s substitutionary work is
not declared and faith in Christ and his work is not solicited
